Three Rivers Charter School

Cultivating critical thinking, creativity, leadership
& community partnerships in a flexible, small environment

Three Rivers Charter School serves children from 4th through 8th grade. Students are combined into small learning groups for each core learning area based on their individual performance level rather than based on their grade level. The school as a whole is limited in size to ensure a low student-teacher ratio. Flexible small groups are employed to increase student-teacher interaction. Students are not assigned to particular teachers, rather all teachers are responsible for all students. This allows for each student to have experiences with multiple teaching styles within multiple settings. Mentorship and leadership are utilized at all grade levels based on talent and skills.

Three Rivers Charter School was the 13th Charter School opened in the State of Oregon. Our school utilizes a lottery system each March. During the first two weeks of March, public informational meetings are held at the TRCS, as well as in Wilsonville to assist parents in gaining as much information on TRCS as possible. Following these meetings, TRCS holds a public lottery and students are placed in the school as places allow. The only limiting factor within our lottery is the size of each grade level. We make every attempt to keep our grade levels consistently running at 20 students each, for a total student population of 100. Please visit our web site for updates on our informational meetings in March and yearly lottery: www.3rcs.org.
