• Photo Editing Tools

We will be using Adobe Lightroom CC Classic and Photoshop CC  to manage, edit, and adjust our photographs in class. Students are NOT required to have editing tools at home, but those who wish to might consider one or more of the following options:

    • Adobe Creative Cloud. It's possible to get a monthly subscription to the Photography option for about $10 per month. It allows you to download a full version of Photoshop onto your home computer. Sign up for Creative Cloud Photography Plan

    • GIMP--This is a free tool that has many of the same features as Photoshop. It's got a slightly different interface, but anyone who can navigate around Photoshop will be able to figure it out with a little effort. Download GIMP

    • Pixlr. This is a browser-based editor that has a very similar look and feel to Photoshop and does not require any downloading of software. Find it at www.pixlr.com

    • Photofiltre--This is a very powerful free photo editor that has much of the same functions as Photoshop, but implemented differently. With a little exploration, it will be possible to get amazing results with this tool. Download Photofiltre

    • Paint.net--free photo editor with lots of features. Download Paint.net
    • Darktable--this is comparable to Lightroom but it is free.  Find out more here:  Darktable
