About Ms. Chapman

    Me with my 3 girls

Hola! My name is Ms. Chapman. This is my first year teaching at Rosemont Ridge and I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing community. I teach social studies because I'm passionate about students learning to understand and respect other cultures in order to become more informed, responsible global citizens. I love Spanish as well, and am excited to get to teach Spanish, Social Studies, and Social Studies in Spanish as part of the Dual Language Program!

I attended George Fox University and graduated with a B.A. in History and earned my MAT at Willamette University in 2007.  I have lived and worked in many places, including: Pennsylvania, Alaska, Colorado, California, Rwanda, and most recently, I spent 3.5 years in Guatemala working for a relief and development organization as a Country Director.

I enjoy running (just finished my second year running Hood to Coast), reading novels, traveling, spending time at the beach with my 3 kids, baking, and eating all types of ethnic foods.

I have 3 daughters who attend a dual-immersion program in another district, and I'm passionate about and committed to language learning. I am here to do everything I can to make this year a successful one for each student, so please never hesitate to talk to me with any concerns or questions. Together we will make this a great year!
