    OBJECTIVES:

    1. STUDENTS WILL IDENTIFY DISTINGUISHING FEATURES AND GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOUNDATIONS OF ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC.
    2. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ANALYZE MUSIC SPECIFIC TO THE FOUNDATIONS OF ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC IN TERMS OF ASTHETIC QUALITIES AND EXPLAIN THE MUSIC MEANS IT USES TO EVOKE FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS.
    3. STUDENTS WILL GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE IS A WIDE-RANGE OF MEANING AND EMOTION FROM MUSIC BASED ON THE INDIVIDUAL, TIME, PEOPLE, LOCATION AND EXPERIENCES.
