Anti-Racism Resources
The West Linn-Wilsonville School Board created a goal during the 2024-25 school year to research, develop, and adopt an anti-racism policy. Over the course of the school year, the Board and district spent time listening to students, staff, families, and members of the district's Equity Advisory Committee to better understand the experiences of BIPOC students and families. In June, 2025, the Board passed a resolution that reflected on what was learned, reaffirming the district and Board's commitment to anti-racism work. Out of that resolution and work, the following updates were implemented starting in the 2025-26 school year.
- Updated administrative rule (AR) supporting Board Policy ACB
- A revised Student Rights & Responsibilities handbook
- "Speak Up at School" bias training for all WLWV staff members
- Bias education and learning opportunities for all WLWV students
- Updated complaint forms for students, staff, and community members
- A Bias Incident Roadmap for reporting and resolution
