Hi there! I am Rebekah Rydholm (pronounced RID-holm), although your older
siblings or friends may have known me as Ms. Regan before my marriage just over
a year ago.
I am very excited
to be returning for my ninth year here at Rosemont Ridge! I consider it
an honor and blessing to work in this supportive atmosphere built by students,
staff, teachers, administrators and parents. This year I will be teaching
only math: Pre-Algebra 6, Accelerated Pre-Algebra, and Math Extension.
Basic History
I was born in Charleston, WV where I lived until I was 2. My family then
moved across the country to southern California (Whittier and Pasadena).
When I was six, we moved to Federal Way, Washington where I attended elementary
school. The night before 7th grade began, we finished our move to Salem
where I later graduated from McKay High School. In 2009, I bought my first
home in north Salem, near Keizer Station. On July 3, 2011, I married my
wonderful husband, Mark!

Education
I earned my BS in Education, with a focus in Mathematics, and
a minor in Spanish from Western Oregon University in 2004, and completed my MS
Ed in Mathematics in 2007. I am certified to
teach Preschool through 9th grade and hold the Basic Math and ESOL/Bilingual
endorsements, and I have taken the tests to allow me to hold an Advanced Math
(through Calculus) endorsement, but I have not yet had the opportunity to
complete a practicum.A Few Details
This summer was filled with work around the house, relaxing with my husband,
a new garden, and preparing to greet our new little one, who is due
September 28!
I love to travel (although I rarely have the
opportunity these days), to play (and coach) basketball, to read, to spend time
outdoors, and I am passionate about music. I am convinced that there is
always something new and exciting to learn!
