West Linn is located near the Willamette and Tualatin Rivers in the Willamette Valley.
We acknowledge that our schools are built on the land of the Wallamut and Kalapuya Native peoples and now the Confederated Tribes of the Grande Ronde. This is a place where those tribes fished, hunted and lived.
It is our responsibility to honor the land like the Native Americans did. We need to remember that Native Americans took care of the land that we are standing on right now and it’s now our obligation to listen to the Confederated Tribes of the Grande Ronde whose members still live and work here. We should include them in decisions about how we use the land and take care of it.
