Do you like solving problems and want to learn how to code apps and video games?

If so, joining the Computer Programming CTE program is the perfect fit for you! You will have opportunities to talk with professionals in the industry who have careers in computer science. As you advance through classes, you will learn programming languages like Python and Java. You will participate in hands-on projects where you learn how to code video games and apps! 


Computer Programming CTE classes meet graduation requirements and help you gain skills for various careers in computer science. Even if you do not end up in this career path, you will gain valuable skills that will transfer to the path you end up choosing. Participating in a CTE program looks great on your resume and on college applications!

How to join the program: When you select your elective class(es) choose one of the introductory class(es) to see if it is a fit for you. If you like the class, then you can take the intermediate and advanced classes throughout high school. Students who complete 3 credits in the Computer Programming CTE program receive a cord at graduation.
