ROBOTICS II (8334)

One semester course / .5 credit course

Grades 9, 10, 11, 12

Prerequisite: Robotics I

Graduation Requirement: Applied Arts

Robotics II is designed for students who have taken Robotics I. It is a continuing course, building on all the topics learned previously, and will continue to use the Lego Mindstorms EV3 kit for building and programming. Course work is generally self-paced, with a set of learning targets. Students will learn advanced building concepts like using gears and other building techniques. Students will also begin to learn about some advanced programming concepts like variables, math, myblocks, data wires, proportional line followers, and proportional gyro headers. Towards the end of the course, students will have a project where they can design and build a robot using the concepts they learned.
