    Who is the Riverside High Track & Field team?

    The Riverside High Track & Field team is gearing up to be an incredible program, and we want you to be a part of it! Whether you're a sprinter, distance runner, jumper, thrower, or just looking for a fun way to stay active, there’s a place for everyone on this program.

    This year, we’re building toward our first-ever scoring varsity teams, and we need dedicated athletes to help make history. No experience? No problem! We welcome athletes of all skill levels and backgrounds—whether you’re a seasoned competitor or trying something new for the first time. We are focused on building an exciting, successful, inclusive, and empowering environment.

    Our Staff

    • Andrew Cusmano - Head Coach, Distance (3000, 1500), Mid-Distance (800, 400), 1st year
    • Kris Cary - Throws (Shot Put, Discus, Javelin) High Jump, 10th year
    • Simone Withers - Sprints (100, 200, 110/100 and 300 hurdles, relays) Jumps (Long, Triple) 1st year

    Events for Everyone

    • Sprints & Hurdles – 100m, 200m, 400m, 110m & 300m hurdles and relays.
    • Distance – 800m, 1500m, 300m, and relays.
    • Jumps & Throws – Long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and javelin.

    Practice and Schedule

    • We meet on the track at 4:30 PM after school every day starting March 3rd.
    • Practice ends between 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM unless otherwise stated.
    • Athletes must have at least 5 practices completed before competing.
    • Below is the tentative meet schedule for 2025

    Important Dates

    • March 3rd - Team Practices Officially begin
    • March 7th - Parents Info Meeting
    • Mar 19th - First Meet
    • April 18th - Team Pictures
    • May 22/23rd - Districts
    • May 29/30th - States
    • June 5th - Spring Banquet
