Important Outdoor School News
All Nature bags must be picked up by Friday the 14th at the absolute latest. Here are directions for each specific school. Please contact your office if you have any questions. Bags are for hybrid, CDL and online students. However, hybrid students will be receiving their bags in class and will not need to have them picked up from the office.Rosemont: CDL and Online students, your bags will be located outside the main entry, in bins. Please pick-up your bag between 9:30-6pm May 10th-13th.Athey Creek: CDL + Online students please pick up your bag on May 13th between the hours of 3-5pm. If you cannot make it, please call the office.Wood: CDL+Online students please pick up your bags on the Boones Ferry side of the school. Come anytime between 8am-4pm, the 12th and 13th. If you cannot make it, please call the office.Meridian: CDL and Online students, please pick up your bags from the office between 8am-4pm May 11-13th. Ring the doorbell and someone will come out to give you the bag.
CREST staff hosted a Parent Information Session on Tuesday, May 4. CREST staff will shared more information about what's planned for Outdoor School and what students can expect. The video recording of the meeting can be viewed now.
Outdoor School 2021
The West Linn-Wilsonville School District and CREST are excited to offer a hands-on and engaging Outdoor School experience for all West Linn-Wilsonville sixth-grade students this year. Students, whether learning in school through hybrid learning or at home through the WLWV K12 Online Program or CDL, will engage in daily outdoor school activities centered on Water, Earth, Plants, and Animals. Outdoor School will take place from May 17-20.
Students will receive Outdoor School Materials Kits from CREST in May to provide them the necessary tools and materials. Special presenters from a variety of local science institutions will join students both synchronously and asyncrhonously during the week of Outdoor School. Please monitor updates and communication from your school regarding Outdoor School as we near May 17!
