History
While our building is new, the soul of our school is quite old. We are honored to carry on the tradition of Wilsonville Primary School, an important part of Wilsonville for over one hundred years. Just as Wilsonville Primary School served as a center of community in the small town that grew up on the banks of the Willamette River, we want Boones Ferry to be a place of inclusion and community. We want our school to be a place where all of our students and families feel at home.
The Boones Ferry Our school name derives from the historic "Boones Ferry" which crossed the Willamette River which borders our city. Our school opened in September 2001 when the old Wilsonville Primary School closed; that building was located on Boones Ferry Road and had been an important part of Wilsonville History for over 100 years.
Our new building is a connection between our past and our future. Our students, kindergarten through fifth grade, reside in both suburban and rural areas south of Portland, Oregon's largest city.
