So – you want to audition for this year’s Middle School Musical? What do you need to know? What do you need to do?

1. Find out everything you can about the play.

Go to the West Linn-Wilsonville School District Middle School Musical page: www.wlwv.k12.or.us - select "programs" then choose "Middle School Musical" from the dropdown. You must be in the 7th or 8th grade to participate in the Middle School Musical.

3. Pick up an Audition Packet
You can pick up a packet from your choir teacher at your school starting in late October.
~READ IT ~TAKE IT HOME ~ GIVE IT TO YOUR PARENTS! Be sure and read the General Information Sheet & fill out the Audition Form. Your parents may want to fill out the Parent Volunteer Form. Bring these to your audition!

4. Sign up for an audition time ~
Sign-ups will be posted near your choir room, in mid-November. You can audition by yourself or with a group. If you want a solo, we need to hear you sing a solo. Some of the leads need a specific song and/or some dialogue. These will be available through the choir teacher. Show us what you’ve got!

5. On the day of your audition, arrive 5 minutes early……..bring with you:
Your music (dialogue sheets if needed) - Your signed AUDITION FORM and PARENT VOLUNTEER FORM -You must also bring your $50 Activity Fee (make check payable to West Linn-Wilsonville School District)

Auditions: Schedule to be announced - most likely early December
*Callbacks are a common theatrical process; a chance for the directors to ask students to return and participate in an expanded audition with other students. If your son or daughter needs to come to callbacks, they will be informed either at their first audition.

SHOW DATES: to be announced - most likely early April
We divide the participants into 2 complete casts with each cast performing in three shows
