Our school’s vision statement for Social and Emotional Learning:
To ensure high levels of individual learning for all students, Stafford Primary School is a relationship-centered learning community where staff, students and families provide clear expectations for procedures and behavior, build strong connections, create a safe and supportive climate, learn to have compassion and empathy for others, and where every student knows their strengths and has a sense of belonging.
To achieve this vision, we utilize the following SEL related curriculums, resources, and research-based approaches:
Second Step SEL Curriculum (taught by classroom teachers throughout the year)
Second Step Child Protection Unit (taught each year by the school counselor)
Zones of Regulation
Restorative Practices and Justice
