About Mr. Uldall

I am so thankful to be teaching band here at Athey Creek! Before accepting the band director position at Athey Creek in 2019, I taught band in the Salem-Keizer District at Houck Middle School for 8 years. I also play in the Portland Wind Symphony and until recently played tenor sax in the Salem Big Band. My main instruments are clarinet and saxophone, but I love playing and teaching all of the band instruments. Ask me how many instruments I own!

I grew up in the Portland metro area and had great band teachers who inspired my passion for music and education. I double majored in music education and clarinet performance at Central Washington University and went on to do my Master’s degree in Band Conducting through the American Band College.

My favorite things about living in Portland are being close to family and friends, playing and going to concerts, and having the opportunity to access so many fun places close by!
