Focus Groups have been conducted with current Athey staff members. Staff reviewed the layout of future classrooms and specialty spaces at the New Athey Creek Middle School. Feedback is being incorporated into the design and specific needs of all departments are being considered.
The Land Use Pre-Application meeting with the City was held on Nov.18th. In addition, the required Neighborhood Association meeting was conducted.
The Environmental Reports, Geotechnical Report, and Traffic Survey have been uploaded to the bond website for public viewing. The Wetland Delineation Report and Archaeological Survey are being reviewed by the State.
The location of the building on the site, exterior finishes, traffic concerns, and consultant reports were reviewed with the Community in two separate meetings, one in October and one in November. Members of the community were provided two Q&A sessions to have concerns and questions addressed in a live format.
The current design phase is scheduled for completion mid-January and the formal Land Use Application is planned for submission in February
