Fencing Implementation At Dollar Street

The General Contractor, Emerick Construction Co., has mobilized to the Dollar Street site for the New Athey Creek Middle School.  Installation of construction/safety fencing began on Monday, Jan. 17, and equipment is onsite to perform the initial clearing.   


The District worked with a firm to harvest the trees from the Christmas Tree area in December. Some of the timber has been retained and will be incorporated into the design for reuse in the school.  

The permit with the DEQ is in place, as well as the Erosion Control permit with the City, to allow for tree stump removal. Silt fencing and other erosion control measures have been installed with further measures being implemented as the areas of grading increase. The contractor will be bringing a temporary trailer on site today, Jan. 18, until the larger mobile Construction office arrives in the coming weeks.
