The District expects to launch a two-step contractor bid process for the new primary school in mid-November. The first phase includes contractors submitting qualifications, which will be assessed by a committee including administrators, construction managers, and a designer. General contractors that earn the requisite score will then be eligible to participate in the second phase. The second phase will consist of a traditional competitive bid between eligible firms. Public notice will be provided for each phase of this procurement, to encourage industry engagement from general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. The bid process is expected to be advertised in Early February.
