Raising the Roof! There have been product delays that have kept the stadium from completing in October as originally scheduled, however the project is moving forward. The stadium roof structure shipped in from Idaho, and the installation of the sheet metal roofing is near completion. The new restrooms, stadium seating, and updated press rooms are all getting finishing touches. The field lights have been operational since September, which has allowed evening soccer and other games to occur.

The addition of storm drain work in the bus loop consumed contractor resources and shifted the priority toward the reopening of the bus loop in time for school to start. Though the contractors did make the bus loop deadline the ability to concurrently complete the stadium in time for football playoffs did not materialize.

The new parking lot and plaza have a subterranean drainage system consisting of a series of tanks. These tanks were delayed which led to a series of design changes and ultimately, schedule loss. This new system is designed to intercept and treat rain water from the parking lot and hillside, which will not only clean water return to the river but prevent it from streaming into the stadium and track.

When the parking lot is complete it will be connected to the stadium with a new plaza which will provide new spaces for students during the school day and the community to gather during sporting events. The General Contractor continues to try and improve the schedule with creative means.
