Riverside High School will be the West Linn-Wilsonville School District's first high school that offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Riverside High School will offer IB courses in place of Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The International Baccalaureate is a global leader in international education, focusing on the development of inquiry, knowledge, confidence, and care in students. IB is geared towards empowering students to take ownership of their own learning while helping them to develop future-ready skills to make a difference in an ever-changing world. IB has a presence in more than 150 countries and is globally recognized by colleges and universities. 

All students at Riverside High School will have access to IB courses and can interact with the program as much or little as they want to, similar to AP offerings at West Linn and Wilsonville High School. Riveside will start as an IB candidacy school and will work toward offering an IB diploma for interested students.
