• A message from the Assistant Principal

As I step into my second year as Assistant Principal at Meridian Creek, I am filled with excitement for the year ahead. I have over a decade of teaching experience, ranging from Preschool and Kindergarten to Middle School Social Studies, and as a Learning Specialist. While serving as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), I supported Social Emotional Learning for students and coached fellow educators. These roles have shaped my approach to education and strengthened my commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and equity-centered learning environment. Through collaboration with our dedicated staff, I anticipate an amazing school year filled with innovative learning opportunities for each learner with whom we have the privilege to be a part of their educational journey.

At Meridian Creek, we understand the power of working as a team to successfully impact learning outcomes. Therefore, we welcome family engagement because it enhances the learning experience and builds a stronger sense of community within our Mustang family. Together, we continue to ensure a sense of belonging for everyone at Meridian Creek. It is this collective effort that makes our school a special place where students flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are committed to cultivating student leaders who are confident, responsible, and ready to take on challenges. We encourage learners to grow their social-emotional skills, problem-solve through Restorative Practices, and use their gifts and talents to uplift themselves and the community. Building meaningful connections with their peers and staff while expanding their academics is pivotal to their individualized success.

I look forward to a school year filled with joyful and enriching experiences for all learners. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make lasting memories with your learners.

    Sincerely,

    Stephanie Yelder-Stovall
Meridian Creek Middle School Assistant Principal
