• A Message from Kenny Ewbank
    Assistant Principal

I am so honored to continue in the role of Assistant Principal for the 2020-2021 school year at MCMS! This will be my second year as a proud mustang and my 17th year in education. I have been fortunate to spend time teaching elementary, middle, and high school from Oregon to California and the Dominican Republic. Before MCMS, I spent the past two years as an Advanced Math teacher at West Linn High School. Prior to that, I served as the 8th Grade Dean of Students, teacher and coach at the Head Royce School in Oakland, CA. I look forward to continuing my work in this district, striving to always put students first and endeavoring to create supportive and challenging learning environments. MCMS shines through in its mission of creating an equitable and inclusive community, and I am excited to help further these efforts.

I received my BA in Economics from Georgetown University, my MA in Education from Stanford University, and my Administrative Licensure from Portland State University.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters (Betty, 5 and Belle, 3), enjoying the outdoors with my dog (Domino). I also enjoy cooking, sports and listening to and playing music.

I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing community, and am looking forward to making this unique school year ahead a successful one!
