Want to explore a career? Do you like hands-on real world projects?

Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs help students discover their passions, gain technical and professional skills needed for career success. Each CTE program has a sequence of specialized classes (typically 3 credits in length). CTE are elective classes and meet graduation requirements. CTE prepares students for life after high school-whether a student is going straight to work or the military, attending a community college, joining a skilled trade, or enrolling in a 4 year university.

There are many CTE programs available:

How to participate: When you select your high school elective class(es) choose the Introductory class in a CTE program. This is a great way to see if it is a good fit for you. Students who like the first class can take the next more advanced classes in a program. Students who earn 3 credits in a CTE program get a cord at graduation.

For more information:  Visit www.wlwv.k12.or.us/CTE to learn more about the classes in each CTE program. This website was made possible by the Oregon Department of Education CTE Revitalization grant.
