School starts at 7:50 A.M. Students may start arriving at 7:40 A.M. Since there is no adult supervision before this time, we ask that students not arrive any earlier. Dismissal time is 2:10 P.M. for all students. School attendance is very important to children's success. Coming to school daily, on time, builds responsible work habits. Please do everything you can to ensure your child's consistent attendance.

If your child is ill or a family emergency necessitates an absence, please notify the school by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the absence. The attendance line is 503-673-7250. 

If it is necessary to have your child leave school before the regular dismissal time, please send a note to school stating the time of departure and the reason. When you come to pick up your child, please report to the office. Your child will be waiting there for you, or will be immediately called from the classroom to meet you. For security reasons, we require that you come to the office and  "sign-out" your child. The teachers will not release a child from the classroom without prior notice. In this way, we are able to provide a safe and non-disruptive learning environment for students.

We would like all students to calmly start their school day on time. If a child does arrive late, we ask that the student report to the office first before going to the classroom so that we may make the necessary attendance corrections on the computer.
