Welcome to the MCMS Travel Program Page!

During the spring of 2019, the MCMS Travel Program was created! Our goal is to bring first-hand cultural experiences to our students and provide them with the opportunity to learn more about the world they live in. We have partnered with EF Tours to bring cultural exploration to 8th-grade level students at MCMS each year. For more information related to future trips, travel logistics, and details, please contact Ms. Clark.

Middle schools in our district have been utilizing EF Tours travel company for years with great success. Local schools include Wood Middle School, Tualatin High School, Canby High School, and many more. MCMS has now partnered with EF travels as well and we look forward to many years of exciting and educational travel experiences abroad.

During the summer of 2022, twenty-five adults and student travelers ventured to Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland on our first international trip from MCMS.

The next trip is expected to travel in the summer of 2024! Stay tuned for more information regarding the itinerary and destinations of travel. We look forward to announcing our next trip this coming fall.

    About Ms. Clark:

As an undergraduate student at Oregon State University, I was presented with the opportunity to study abroad in the southern part of Chile during my junior year while completing my Spanish minor. This trip became one of the most life-changing and influential trips that empowered my love and passion for traveling. I experienced culture shock, but from the experience, I fell in love with learning about the customs and cultures of other countries. It encouraged me to travel around the world for years to come.

Since then, I have traveled to 12 countries in South America and Europe. During the spring of 2016, I led a group through EF Tours to Greece and Italy. Our summer program to Europe was a success and a wonderful learning opportunity for all. I am very excited to extend this cultural opportunity to the MCMS student population for years to come.
