    Applying for College

The counseling team walks through the process with seniors beginning the second week of September.  Rising seniors are encouraged to do research and visit colleges, if possible.
Seniors are advised to wait   until we are back at school in the fall to apply. WHS has a specific process for applying that students need to adhere to.  Students will meet with their counselors and will learn about the process in English classrooms early in the year.

Students who are currently enrolled in Spanish III & IV, French III & IV, Graphic Arts II, Discrete Math, Pre-Calc, AP Stats, AP Art: 2D Design, and  AP Literature & Composition can receive transferable college credit by registering via the CCC registration portal during the registration period.  Watch for dates in the fall and spring! Questions can be directed to the classroom teacher or Lyndi Tucker.

Course fees are $10 per credit, but if cost is an issue, please contact Lyndi Tucker for a fee waiver. We will not let cost prevent students from registering.
WHS' online college and career planning resource- build a resume, complete interest inventories, research careers, research colleges and universities, research programs of study (majors), and/or review the scholarship database.

    College Visits

Each year, admissions representatives from colleges across the country visit Wilsonville High School in order to connect with students. Most of these visits take place in-person, with a few being virtual visits. Visits take place in College & Career Center. The reps who host these visits are typically involved in reading applications from WHS students, making them great contacts to have!

The list can be found on the Naviance Welcome page and 11th & 12th grade students can sign up to attend. Lyndi Tucker attends all visits and will assist students who may have questions.
