  • ORCA (Oregon Reader's Choice Award) Books

    Each year, Oregon librarians, teachers, and booksellers determine a set of student-nominated books to comprise the ORCA list. Readers from grades 3-12 read at least two books and vote on the best book for their age group.

    Scythe by Neal Shusterman won the 2019 award.

    The 2020 ORCA books are available now, so let's get reading! The voting takes place during the month of March. The high school division (grades 9-12) includes the following titles:

    The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater
    The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F.C. Yee
    Far From the Tree by Robin Benway
    The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
    Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner
    Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds
    Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu
    They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

eBooks and Audiobooks

  • Overdrive Logo  

    Read electronic books or listen to audiobooks on your own devise. Login to Overdrive using your school Google credentials or iuse the Sora app for iOS or Android devices.

    With Sora, you can borrow eBooks and audiobooks

    1. Install the Sora app.
    2. In Sora, find your school (West Linn - Wilsonville) and sign in
    3. Browse the Explore tab and borrow a book. Your book will open so you can start reading right away
    4. Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all of your books. From there you can: Tap OpenBook/ Open Audiobook - or - Tap Options to renew or return the book, see your notes and view your highlights. 

    Con Sora, puedes tomar prestados libros electrónicos y audiolibros

    1. Instala la aplicaión Sora
    2. En Sora, encuentra tu escuela (West Linn - Wilsonville) y regístrate
    3. Navega por la pestaña Explorar y pide prestado un libro. Su libro se abrirá para que pueda comenzar a leer de inmediato.
    4. Cierra el libro y ve a tu estante para ver todos tus libros. Desde allí puede: Toque Abrir libro / Abrir audiolibro - o - Toque Opciones para renovar o devolver el libro, ver sus notas y ver sus aspectos más destacados.
