Social Emotional Learning & Development
As School Counselors, we work with students in a variety of ways in the area of Social Emotional Learning (SEL). If your child is experiencing any social or emotional impacts, please do not hesitate to contact us for support. We provide short term, solution focused support and if there is a need for further counseling, we can connect you with additional resources and/or our social worker, Brittany Bucholz who we collaborate with regularly.
We also bring Social Emotional Learning into the classroom in the form of monthly Second Step lessons during Advisory. Second step is the k-8 district approved curriculum built to help students discuss topics such as goal setting, empathy, identifying values, regulating emotions, friendships, and conflict resolution.
