Rosemont Ridge Parking Lot Procedures
BEFORE SCHOOL drop off procedures are as follows:
For everyone’s safety, please do not drop off your child in front of the school, disabled parking or the midst of the parking lot. Please do not drop your children off in the bus lanes closest to school.
Move in the Car lanes to the far side of the parking lot (by the track and field) to drop kids off at the “Sheltered Island”. Please follow the Car lanes all the way around and do not cut through open parking spaces.
If you will be turning right to exit the parking lot you need to be in the right car lane to drop your child off. Conversely, if you will be exiting the parking lot by turning left you will need to be in the left car lane.
Your child may exit the car only when they are no more than three cars back from the head of the line and must cross in front of all of the cars at the head of the line in the cross walk.
AFTER SCHOOL pick up procedures are DIFFERENT and as follows:
For everyone’s safety, please do not pick your child up in front of the school, disabled parking or the midst of the parking lot. Please do not pick up your children in the bus lanes closest to school.
Please use the Car lanes and not the Bus lanes. Please follow the car lanes all the way around and do not cut through open parking spaces.
Use the car lanes to travel to the far side of the parking lot (by the track and field) to pick kids up from the "Island" at the front and middle of the parking lot.
If you know that your child is ready and waiting on the "Island" you may drive in the left car lane which is the "Moving Lane.”
If your child is not ready and waiting you need to stay in the right ("Still Lane") lane (closest to the track and field) until your child is ready on the island. Once you know that your child is ready and waiting you can merge into the left "moving lane."
Your child may enter your car only when your car is not more than two cars back from the front of the line and they must cross in front of all cars to get to yours.
Please give right of way to students in all crosswalks and follow instructions of any traffic controllers.
Thanks for your attention to this matter. It keeps your child safe in our parking lot!
