  • Great first month!

What a great first month of math with all of your kids! We are doing a bit of review with LCM, GCF and order of operations, but also introducing foundational algebraic ideas of distributive property, solving for unknowns, and some prime factorization. For my regular classes we'll be studying ratio and rate and those concepts relate to fractions, decimals and percent, while the accelerated class having finish inverse method of algebra will be working quickly through fraction and decimal operations. Thanks for all of your support checking homework and grades, and checking the website when your child is sick.

  • Welcome 6th graders and families!

Hello and welcome, 6th graders and parents,  I am so happy to get to work with your daughter or son in math this year! We've already had a great week of getting to know you activities and exploration of what we'll be learning this year. During the next few days we are taking the MAPS math test to help me understand your child's math experience and knowledge from primary school. I hope to meet you on Curriculum Night Tuesday, September 10th!

    Mathematically yours,

    Rob Hoisington
