All make-ups are due by noon on May 17th. Turn in Make-up slips to Mrs. Harris in Room B102.

Mu Alpha Theta is a National Mathematics Honor Society that was designed to inspire interest in mathematics, develop strong scholarship in the subject, and promote the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and college students.
Meeting dates
Meetings will consist of anything from speakers who share their use of mathematics in their profession, to TED talks, or math-related activities. Mandatory meetings are held once a month, on the first Thursday of the month in the FORUM.Dates this year are:- October 3rd
- November 7th
- December 5th
- February 6th
- March 5th
- April 2nd
- May 7th
Absences
Absences from a meeting will need to be made up through 1 hour of community service with a WLHS math teacher. This can be done in the form of tutoring a math student, grading papers, or helping a teacher with anything math related. Make-up forms can be found on the Math Honor Society website and need to be signed by the teacher you assisted. Absences for Semester 1 will need to be made up and turned in by January 25th, 2018. Absences for Semester 2 need to be made up and turned in by May 1st, 2019.Induction
Our induction ceremony is when we officially receive all eligible members into the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society and seniors to receive their honor cords. Induction will be held on May 21st, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium. Attendance is mandatory, parents are invited and business-casual dress is expected.

How many absences can I have?
Posted by:You cannot have any unexcused absences from meetings. If you miss a meeting you must make it up before the next meetiong occurs.

What if I miss a meeting?

What if I have a test to make up during one of the meetings?
Posted by:Reschedule it! Reschedule to make up your test another day; these meetings provide very important information about being a member of the National Math Honor Society and should not be missed. We have speakers coming in and you can not make up this important time.
