Miss LaFerriere's TWA Math pages
Welcome!
Welcome to my homepage and to the 2021-2022 school year! I hope that you find this web site easy to navigate and are able to get all of the information that you need to keep up-to-date with your work and be successful in math!
For those of you who don't know me already, here's a little about my background: This is my 15th year here at West Linn High School and my 24th year teaching math. I got my undergraduate degree from Providence College (go Friars!) and my Masters degree from the University of Rhode Island.
I grew up on the East Coast and moved here 15 years ago. And of course, I am a loyal fan of all the New England teams: Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins (you'll be able to tell this when you see my classroom)! If there's a big game on, you can bet I'll be watching it, so feel free to come by my room (B101) and chat about it after.
You should also know that I REALLY love doing math! For reals. Now, I understand that not everyone does....but, I expect you to at least try your hardest and put forth your best effort (aka do all your homework) and, of course, stay positive! :-)
This year I am teaching Trig and AP Calc AB. They are great classes and hopefully you will learn a lot about how important and useful math is in our society. So....get your pencils ready and let's get this year completed with success!!
I know many of you are probably feeling a little anxious about coming back to full in person learning after an entire year of doing everything online. I get it. Don't worry, we are going to start the year off with some review and once you get back into a normal routine, you will feel a lot better. We will get through this together and I'm excited to actually have people in my room again!
P.S. I love animals, especially my two rescue dogs! :)
Coco and Kobe are Pats fans too!! Chillin' on the couch :)
