    Theatre Arts Program Director/Teacher

Welcome! I'm excited for another year of arts at WLHS!

Originally from England, I have called Oregon my home most of my life.  I have a BA in music from Pacific University and a MSEd in Educational Theatre from The City College of New York.  I also have a post-grad diploma in classical acting from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

My wife, Sara, and I have lived and worked in London, New York City, and Portland.  I have been very fortunate to have worked as a professional actor and voice-over artist since 2003, and have been teaching theatre arts since 2006.  As an actor I have worked on London's West End, regionally on the west and east coasts, on a Broadway National Tour, in Germany, Morocco, Baja, Athens, Wales, and Iran.

Our home in lovely West Linn is also inhabited by our daughter, Lyra, our son, Devon....and our mutt called, Ollie.

I believe in a holistic approach to teaching, incorporating active learning strategies that promote empowerment, social development, and critical thinking.

    CORE VALUES:

"I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being."

      --Thornton Wilder
