Welcome!

Hi, I’m Mr. Julian, and this is my 6th year at West Linn High School, and my 14th year teaching overall.  I previously taught at North Salem and Newberg High Schools, and prior to teaching, I worked for various newspapers for about 10 years. My hope is that my classroom will be a comfortable place for you to learn, think, or just be.  I strive to make every student feel included in the class, and to do the best they possibly can.

Part of helping each student achieve to his or her highest potential is making sure everyone feels safe and respected in the classroom.  In an effort to create a safe learning environment, I do not tolerate ANY form of bullying or intimidation, including hate speech of any kind – whether the speech is targeting gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, language, body types, family background, social class, academic success, or anything else.  If you have any questions about this or any other class policy, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to talk.
