2019 Bond and Local Option Levy Information

On Aug. 5, the West Linn-Wilsonville School Board officially announced the District will place a capital bond levy and local option renewal on the November 2019 ballot. The bond, which is not expected to raise the current tax rate of West Linn-Wilsonville residents, will be placed on the ballot in addition to a local option tax levy. The local option tax levy was last passed in 2014 and is set to expire following the 2019-20 school year. The local option tax levy currently funds approximately 80 teachers across the school district. That tax levy is not expected to raise the current tax rate experienced by voters. Learn more about both the capital bond and local option, including the major construction projects the capital bond would fund if approved by voters.

    2019-20 Bus Routes Now Available

Our 2019-20 Bus Routes are now posted on the District Website and available in FamilyLink. Make sure to view up-to-date routes before the start of the school year. If you have specific requests regarding your student(s)' bus regular pickup or dropoff locations, parents should access the school district's FamilyLink system. Navigate to the 'Bus Information' portion of FamilyLink to fill out a request. Note that available space on a bus is a primary consideration when allowing these requests. Families can request to be picked up or dropped off at an alternative existing location, but the district will not create new or unplanned stops or routes for requests. Families are encouraged to submit requests now as the process could take up to two weeks.

More information regarding bus routes, including snow routes, can be found under the Community Tab of the district website.

Sign up for ListServ to Receive School and District communications

ListServ is the primary method that West Linn-Wilsonville schools communicate with families, sending regular newsletters, timely information, and even emergency notifications. To sign up to get news from your school, simply click this ListServ link and follow the directions. Don't forget to subscribe to WLWV-Homes to get important District Level information!

Familiarize Yourself with the 2019-20 School Calendar

View the 2019-20 Calendar to view important dates. Note that a recent adjustment for all middle and high schools moved the last day of Quarter 2 and Semester 1 to January 24, better aligning the number of instructional hours in the first and second semesters. January 27 is now a certified workday.

    Update Your Emergency Contact Information

The start of a new school year is a good time to update your student(s)' emergency contacts in the event of an emergency. Call your school office to update this information.

Be prepared for emergencies by signing up for FlashAlert

FlashAlert is the system that West Linn-Wilsonville utilizes to notify students and families of school closures, delays, and similar events. The system routinely filters out unused accounts, so even if you have previously subscribed, you should verify your subscriptions at www.flashalert.net/login.html

Please note that this is not a West Linn-Wilsonville system and the district can only provide limited help. Families are encouraged to download the free FlashAlert Messenger app from the Apple AppStore or Google PlayStore. Announcements will also be displayed on local TV news channels. During an inclement weather event, we will also post an announcement on the district homepage and on the district's social media channels.

Interested volunteers can register to volunteer in WLWV schools by visiting the Volunteer Registration webpage. Simply select 'Start' to fill out your application, which includes a background check. The first time that volunteers sign-in to volunteer at any WLWV school they will be prompted to accept a Volunteer Agreement.
