Important Meal Information
Due to COVID-19 state and federal funding for free meals ending, students will need to pay for meals starting in 2022-23. Eligible families are encouraged to apply for the free and reduced meal program. After applying, families will receive a letter notifying them if they’ve been approved. Families need to apply for the free and reduced meal program every year, even if they’ve applied and been approved previously. Applications can be printed or submitted electronically by visiting the district website. Applications are also available at your child’s school.
Schools will also return to our pre-pandemic meal service protocols starting in 2022-23. Please watch this video with your student and visit the nutrition services website for more information about accessing meals during the school day.
Thank you for your attention to this meal service change.

Enroll in the K12 Online Academy
The WLWV K12 Online Academy (WKOA) is open to all interested West Linn-Wilsonville students. Unlike some online charter programs or schools that are separated from their school district, WKOA is uniquely integrated within each of our neighborhood schools. This allows students to engage in their learning in an online setting and at a pace that is best suited for them while allowing opportunities to stay involved with their neighborhood friends, school activities, field trips, school staff, and more. Visit the WKOA webpage to learn about enrollment or for additional information.
-
Community Bulletin Board
Families wanting information about resources and additional community partners are encouraged to access the district's Community Bulletin Board. The Community Bulletin Board is where community partners share relevant flyers and information about youth sports, camps and outside learning opportunities, enrichment opportunities, fundraisers, and other community-based opportunities. Community members can also post information to the Community Bulletin Board by submitting a PDF.

Family Empowerment Center — Connect with Local Resources and Services
The West Linn-Wilsonville Family Empowerment Center (FEC) equips families with needed resources such as food, clothing, and school supplies as well as access to local services for mental health and health resources, local programs, education classes, workshops and more. The WLWV FEC aims to provide direct services to students and families as well as connection to other community resources and partners.
Families who need access to resources such as food or school supplies, or who want to learn more about resources available in the larger WLWV community, can visit the FEC website to contact the Center.

Emergency Communications
Parent-guardians will be alerted in the event that there is a school emergency at their child's school. This could include the initiation of an unplanned evacuation, secure, lockdown, hold, or shelter in place protocol among other emergency situations. Parent-guardians receive communication based on contact information in ParentVue and are encouraged to update emergency contact information if it changes.
Families are also encouraged to sign up for FlashAlert to receive inclement weather updates in the event that school is delayed or canceled.
