Students learn on the job while working on wlhsNOW.com - the Student Media Online News site as well as producing print editions of The Amplifier, the school newspaper/newsmagazine. While working on creating content for the student media publications, students will also continue to populate their personal online portfolio they created in Media Publications 1-2. Students learn and use journalism and communications industry standard software like Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, social media, podcasting and video technology while using professional gear like DSL cameras, photo studio lighting and broadcast studio equipment. Students organize and contribute ideas while consulting with student editors and the adviser in a publication staff environment.
