This class is geared to the student who wants to further explore fine arts photography. Students will work with a variety of cameras, including film cameras, and will learn how to develop and print their own black and white images in a wet lab darkroom. Students will make images that express their points of view and tell stories through their photography. They will learn more advanced digital skills in Photoshop and Lightroom and other Adobe programs. They will explore stop motion photography and layout design and there will be opportunities for students to interact with professionals in the field of photography through guest speakers. Periodic oral and written critiques allow students to develop analytical, reflective and critical thinking skills. This course is aligned with the National Core Art Standards.
