Introduction to Digital Arts A
One semester course / .5 credit course
Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: None
Graduation Requirement: Applied Arts
Use a computer to make art! You will be introduced to basic skills, techniques and concepts related to digital image making. This course is project-based. Examples of possible projects include: character design, simple animations, graphics and logo creation, and taking and manipulating digital photographs. Students will be introduced to industry-standard programs in the Adobe CC suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, etc.) This course is a prerequisite for digital illustration and animation, graphic design, and digital photography.
This is a one semester course. Introduction to Digital Arts (A) will be offered during Semester One and Introduction to Digital Arts (B) will be Semester Two. Students can take both sections (A) and (B) if desired, but it is not required.
