Graphic Design gives students the opportunity to design and create graphics. Sample projects include logo design, promotional graphics and package design. Students will have the chance to create designs for real world clients. Students learn how to apply the Elements and Principles of design through the process of creating solutions to graphic design challenges with an emphasis on Icons and Symbols. Students will learn and apply fundamentals of various software applications (such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop), providing a solid foundation for students looking to learn these industry-standard programs.

The University of California (UC) system requires one-year of the same visual or performing art, and this course meets the requirement.
