Boones Ferry Primary Counselor Katie Flaker reads a book to first-graders.

This week we honor our School Counselors in recognition of National School Counselor Week. The amazing learning communities in WLWV are supported by the work of so many different people. One critical role in forming these successful and inclusive communities is the School Counselor.

West Linn-Wilsonville School Counselors connect with students, support families, help plan for academic success, implement programs for social-emotional learning, create systems of support for All, Some & Few, help students plan for successful transitions, and create plans for life beyond school. They use evidence-based practices, understand trauma, work in culturally responsive ways and are all around amazing people, changing the lives of students for the better every day.

Thank you, West Linn-Wilsonville School Counselors!
