Yes. Service hours are completely independent of the service project. Members must complete 20 service hours each year to join or to remain in good standing. For the 2024-2025 school year, service hours must be completed from 10/1/2023-9/27/2024. These hours must not have been used on a previous NHS application or as a requirement for another club or honor society. Once you become a member, you must participate in one service project per quarter that is hosted by an NHS officer to stay in good standing. Semester one projects must be completed by 1/17/25 and semester two projects must be completed by 5/2/25.
