Partners in Growth

  • World Leaf Research shows that inspiring, creative, and informed teachers are critical to student achievement and success. In fostering life-long learning, West Linn-Wilsonville School District places a strong emphasis on teacher professional growth. From mentoring teachers new to the profession as well as new to the district to robust professional development and tuition reimbursement programs, teachers have a myriad of opportunities to reflect on and improve their craft.

The Educators' Handbook for Professional Growth was updated in 2018 to meet the requirements of Senate Bill 290. It includes professional standards, and explains the professional growth process guided by our mission question: "How do we create learning communities for the greatest thinkers and most thoughtful people... for the world?"
