Digital Safety Overview
-
Our ability to address safety is tied very tightly to technology systems. Technology systems play a vital role in terms of preventing events, but also in relation to how an event plays out.
Communication tools are crucial to being able to tell the public, the staff, and others what is ongoing and unfolding.
And, we also have to try to teach best practices so as to remain safe.
Keeping sensitive data safe and secure helps to provide our students and staff with the assurance that we are trying to protect them from targeted advertising, identity theft, and potential hijacking of access and accounts.
Vetting online resources for pedagogical and curricular appropriateness helps ensure that students learn in ways that are in sync with the teaching and learning philosophies of the district.
