    1938 Amplifier

    The Amplifier, the semi-monthly paper published by the student body, had
    the following staff for 1938: Margaret Milliken, editor; Catherine Gleason,
    assistant editor; Luella Blank, manager; Marjorie Seely, assistant manager.

    1938 French Club Cercle Francais 

    The French club's officers this year included Betty Lipp, president; Dorothy Lipp,
    vice-president and treasurer; Jane Easson, secretary; La Dean Matthews, reporter;
    Lester Bradley, sergeant-at-arms.

    1938 Debate

    Debaters who held up the affirmative side of the question on this year's team were:
    Marie Nemec, Phyllis Ferguson, Betty Porter, Don Fleming, Kenneth Kerr, and
    Glenn Campbell. Those who upheld the negative were: Catherine Gleason,
    Ann Erickson, Dick Mathiot, Fred Scherer, and Jim Whipple. Mr. Main and
    Mr. Oliver were the coaches.

    1938 Dramatics Class

    This class entertained the student body at several assemblies during this year.
    Students in the class are Milliken, White, Nock, Ray, McMurren, Daggett,
    Ramsdell, Knoll, Nemic, Persinger, Bickel, and Odem.

    1938 F.F.A.

    The F.F.A. is an organization of the students taking Vocational Agriculture.
    They take an active part in the state-wide F.F.A. activities. Harold Babcock
    is the president of the organization.

    1938 Gemiitlichkeit

    The German Club's officers for this year consisted of George Carl, president;
    Betty Buckles, vice president; Juliet Duncan, secretary; Helen Janes, treasurer;
    and Mr. Oliver, faculty advisor. The club went to the beach with the honor
    society and Latin and French clubs, May 7.

    1938 Glee Club

    This year the chorus went to the state chorus meet at Forest Grove and came
    out with flying colors. Miss Maxine Dunmire placed third among very stiff
    competition. Various other members tried unsuccessfully to place but were
    unable to do so, due to the competition
    .

    1938 Honor Society

    This year the Honor Society was under the leadership of Margaret Milliken,
    president; Frank Meldrum, vice president; Merle Aden, secretary and treasurer;
    Richard Kerns, sergeant-at-arms; Arlene Ingersoll, reporter; and Miss Lundy,
    faculty advisor.
